Most characteristics are similar to other S20 family devices being the most significant changes one missing rear camera, and 6/8 GB of RAM memory compared with the 8/12 and 12/16 GB from the different versions.

Battery Performance
Introduction
Being the cheapest device from the S20 series (around 600 EURO), the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is classed as a high tier in the ViserMark list. Like most devices of its price range, the S20 FE is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 offering 5G connectivity.
The FE comes with a 4500mAh battery and as the other member of S20 family, it comes with a 25W fast charge, a 15W wireless quick charge, and a 4.5W reverse charge option.
The overall Battery Performance Score is now a global score taking calculations from Battery Life, Power Efficiency and Charging Times.
Based on our test results, we have given the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G smartphone a ViserMark score of 50/100. This score places the Samsung S20 FE 5G smartphone in the middle of ViserMark overall ranking, 18 points below the leader that has a (68/100) score. Compared with other Mid-Tier smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G performs better than direct competitors like the Xiaomi Poco F3, the OPPO A54 5G and the Samsung A52 5G.

BATTERY LIFE - Days of Use
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G autonomy was close to 50 hours with a display refreshing rate of 120 Hz and over 53 hours with 60Hz as shown in Figure 1. Based on the ViserMark test protocol, the Samsung S20 FE 5G obtained a Battery Life score of 2 Days of Use.
With the average Days of Use ViserMark Battery Life score of a High Tier smartphone being “1.7” Days, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G matches the majority of similar smartphones that also achieved this Battery Life score.

Our testing is based on actual smartphone usage from 100% battery level down to Power Off. When testing Smartphones, the testing protocol includes everyday life activities, for instance: Calls, Web, Video and Music streaming, Gaming, Social networks, Picture & Video capture and standby.
All testing is performed under strictly controlled test conditions with all activities being executed in a defined order and timeline.

There are a number of power-efficient processors, within today's smartphones, that are able to cope with the growing number of new applications and can support high-resolution displays without compromising battery life.
Power Efficiency is calculated using Battery Life and Battery Capacity. This is expressed in “Leaves" and reflects a rating between 1 being least and 5 being the most power-efficient.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G achieved an overall Power Efficiency Score of 1.5 and is placed in the upper half of the most Power Efficiency Smartphones within the High Tier.
Conclusion
The battery autonomy of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is around 2 days based on the ViserMark testing protocol, compared with other devices from the same hierarchy the autonomy is slightly higher considering its 4500 mAh battery.
