Battery Performance
Introduction
The Vivo X51 is a ViserMark High tier smartphone (between 500 - 700 EURO). The smartphone has the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765G processor and boosts both high-end flagship performance and low energy consumption.
The overall Battery Performance Score is now a global score taking calculations from Battery Life, Power Efficiency and Charging Times.
From the Vivo X51 test results, we have given this Smartphone a ViserMark score of 44. The Battery Performance Label, being nearer 100 indicates that it is one of the mid-range performing ones and has been ranked in 57th place of the best Battery Performance Smartphones as tested by SmartViser.
Testing Results
BATTERY LIFE - Days of Use
The Vivo X51 settings allowed us to test the smartphone with two different settings, which included a 90 Hz and 60 Hz refresh rate.
Through the ViserMark test protocol, the battery life autonomy was just over 39 hours with a 60 Hz refresh rate, and around 37 hours with a 90 Hz refresh rate.
This achieved 1.5 Days of Use as a ViserMark Battery Performance score. With the average Days of Use ViserMark Battery Life score of a High Tier, Smartphone being “1.7” Days, the Vivo X51 matches the majority of similar Smartphones that also achieved this Battery Life score.
CHARGING TIME - Hours and Minutes
With the 33W fast charge option, we obtained an outstanding Charging Time of 1 hour and 3 minutes, Vivo advertised 30 mins charging time to 50% which seems correct although it was not verified.
Test Graphics
Our testing is based on real smartphone usage from 100% battery level down to Power Off. When testing Smartphones, the testing protocol includes common daily life activities, for instance: Calls, Web, Video and Music streaming, Gaming, Social networks, Picture & Video capture and standby.
All testing is performed under strictly controlled test conditions with all activities being executed in a defined order and timeline.

There are a number of power-efficient processors, within today's Smartphones, that are able to cope with the growing number of new applications and can support high-resolution displays without compromising battery life.
Power Efficiency is calculated using Battery Life and Battery Capacity. This is expressed in “Leaves" and reflects a rating between 1 being least and 5 being the most power-efficient.
The Vivo X51 achieved an overall Power Efficiency Score of 1.0 and is placed in the lower half of the most Power Efficiency Smartphones within the High Tier.
Conclusion
The Vivo X51 ViserMark Battery Performance score reached was 44. As previously mentioned, this positioned this particular Smartphone in the low part of the ViserMark High Tier ranking table when comparing it to other High Tier Smartphones of similar battery size.
Although the Vivo X51 score is close to other comparative Smartphones like the OnePlus 8 Pro (46) and the Oppo Find X2 Neo (47). There is still room for battery life improvement to reach the top of the ViserMark High Tier ranking table and get a Battery Performance score like the Samsung S20 F3 5G (50) or the Huawei P40 Pro (51).
ViserMark tests are performed with the strictest protocol in a controlled environment to ensure repetition and consistency powered and automated by SmartViser’s test automation solution viSer. The automation test includes a variety of user actions from calls to social media and periods of standby times.
